Not a problem with the referral. I have always been the kind of person that who once finds the right professional person who can go ahead with the task and can do it without me looking over their shoulder, has stuck with that person. Having said that in the 27 years that I have been living in Burtts Corner, I have the same mechanic, hairdress, financial advisor and real estate agent. Mary and I met at the local farmer’s market when she was a vendor. Everyone seemed to know her and she knew them. When it was time for us to move to a bigger place she helped us. We went to many houses,she wanted to make sure we saw lots of houses so we could compare them for value. We looked at land, walked lots of acres and swatted lots of flies. If you needed a carpenter, lawyer, backhoe guy she always had a name or two that you could contact. It is not to say there where no bumps. One real estate purchase did run into a snag, but it was the other real estate agent who had made the error. That agent was not willing to help solve the problem. He had sold the property, got his commission and was not to be bothered. Mary straightened that out with no cost or concern to me. Mary has not only helped me and other family members with real estate purchases, but a local non-profit organization that I belong to also had property to dispose of and Mary was able to do that. She always seems to be available 24/7. She has a good raport with the local financial institutions in town and can help with financing questions. She has a good feel for the market and seems to know just how much more or less to offer for a place, to get the best deal for her client.(She can also cut the kids bangs if she has her scissors with her.)
